The return is yours.

Parry the incoming ball and send it toward the next target. A missed return can knock you out of the round.

Choose how to play

Play local

Play Local starts a match against bots; use Custom Game to add players on the same device. Local matches work offline.

Custom match

Use Custom Game for private room codes, local network play, and extra match settings.

How a round works

Time your parry to return the ball. Successful returns can make it faster, and a direct hit eliminates its target.

Move, jump, and use your chosen ability to reach the next return. Play elimination or speed ladder, then check your wins, parries, and longest rallies in Records.

Beta builds

Desktop and mobile builds are in testing. Store downloads are still being prepared.

Privacy policy

Effective November 4, 2026

Fanataball can be played locally or through Exclaim Systems’ hosted room service. This policy explains what the game and that service use to make online play work. It applies to Fanataball clients, play.fanataball.com, and support messages sent to Exclaim Systems.

Local play

Local matches do not need an online account or a connection to our room service. The app can keep settings, a display name, selected player skin, local progress, and saved recovery or moderation drafts on your device. Local records may be included in a platform backup. iOS offloading keeps app data while deleting the app removes it; Android uninstall and Clear storage normally remove app data, subject to backup and restore settings; removing the Mac app can leave local preferences behind. Contact us if you need help finding local data.

Online play

When you use hosted play, the service creates or uses a guest profile with an opaque profile ID and the display name you choose. It stores a one-way hash of the bearer credential and its expiry rather than the bearer itself. This lets the service place you in rooms, connect you with friends, issue short-lived room tickets, recover a connection, and keep a match’s participants consistent. Fanataball does not require your real name, phone number, or email address to join a normal room.

Online operation also involves ordinary network and security information, such as connection timestamps, request details, device or build compatibility, and network addresses visible to an internet service. The application uses the source IP transiently for admission and rate limiting. Hosting or proxy access logs may process network addresses under that infrastructure’s logging configuration. We use this information to deliver rooms, limit abuse, investigate failures, and protect the service.

Friends, rooms, and match records

Friend requests and accepted friendships are stored with the participating guest profiles and request timestamps. An accepted friend can see your chosen display name and fresh presence: online or playing, and, while you are playing, the room ID/code, phase, and connected/capacity counts. Presence older than 45 seconds is treated as offline. A room code is an invitation, not proof of a person’s identity.

Hosted rounds can retain a result receipt and participant record containing the profile, participant number, win, parries, perfect returns, eliminations, longest rally, and highest speed. The service also maintains hosted/private and public mastery totals and earned cosmetic awards. Reports and personal blocks are tied to the authenticated guest and verified room context; they are not public profiles and do not automatically decide that someone broke a rule.

What we do not do

Fanataball has no advertising network, cross-site tracking pixel, or third-party analytics SDK in the current build. Exclaim Systems does not sell personal information or use online play data for targeted advertising. We do not ask the app for contacts, precise location, microphone, camera, or photo-library access. This website may produce ordinary web-server access logs; it does not set cookies or use web analytics, external fonts, or embedded third-party content.

Service providers and support

We may use infrastructure providers to host the room service, database, and this page. They process information only to operate those services under our instructions. If you email support, we receive your email address and the details you choose to include. We use that information to answer you, diagnose a problem, and protect the game. Do not send passwords or bearer credentials by email.

Retention and deletion

Guest credentials currently expire after 30 days unless the client rotates them. Short-lived room tickets and connection state expire as part of normal room operation. Unreported live report contexts are eligible for cleanup after 14 days; submitted reports, round records, friendship relationships, progression, cosmetic awards, and the match evidence needed to review them can remain longer. There is no overall automatic deletion guarantee for every operational log, backup, friendship, result, or submitted report, and we do not publish a fixed archive date for each category.

You can export your account data or delete your guest account from the app’s Account Data screen when you are signed in and outside a match. Deletion removes your credentials, recovery data, friends and blocks, progression, and equipment. The app clears its local account data after the service confirms deletion. Files you exported elsewhere are yours to remove.

Shared match records, submitted safety reports, and review evidence may remain to preserve results and investigate abuse. The deleted profile’s display name becomes “Deleted player.”

For privacy questions or help with a deletion request, email info@exclaim.systems. Do not email a secret credential. We review requests against the information we can identify and the obligations that apply. Rights and response times depend on where you live and the information involved.

Children

Fanataball does not require account signup or collect a child’s real-world identity to play. Online play does create a guest profile and uses the display name chosen on that device. A parent or guardian who has a question about a child’s information can contact us at the address above. We encourage families to use platform controls and to share only a display name that does not identify a child.

Changes and contact

We will update this page when the game’s data practices change and will update the effective date above. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@exclaim.systems.
